Laurence Fishburne (born July 30, 1961) is an Emmy-winning actor best known for his roles in films such as Apocalypse Now, King of New York, Boyz n the Hood, What's Love Got to Do With It?, Othello, Event Horizon (with Sam Neill) and The Matrix trilogy (with Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss).
Fishburne's other notable films include Predators (with Danny Trejo), Contagion (with Matt Damon), Man of Steel (with Harry Lennix), Ride Along (with Ice Cube), Rudderless, and Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice.
On television, Fishburne has had regular roles on Pee-wee's Playhouse, CSI, and Hannibal (with Mads Mikkelsen). He currently co-stars on Black-ish.
