Conor Lastowka (pronounced la-STOKE-a) was born on April 23, 1981. He has worked as a writer for RiffTrax since 2006.
In addition to writing jokes about modern blockbusters, old b-movies, and comically outdated educational shorts, he has been a writer-producer on several RiffTrax Live events broadcast nationwide, and performs as the voice of DisembAudio on RiffTrax MP3s.
He was also one of the editors of the blog [Citation Needed], which collected the best of Wikipedia's worst writing. The contents of the blog have since been collected into two books. Gone Whalin' is his first novel, which he followed with The Pole Vault Championship of the Entire Universe.
Inspired by his work on [Citation Needed], Conor has produced and written a season of podcasts expanding some of the all-time worst Wikipedia entries into skits. He currently podcasts 372 Pages We'll Never Get Back with Mike Nelson, which analyzes the books Ready Player One and Armada by Ernest Cline.
He lives in San Diego with his wife Lauren.
