Bridgette

Bridget Jones (born September 24, 1964) is a former writer for Mystery Science Theater 3000 and has been married to Mike Nelson since 1990.

On The RiffTrax Blog, a iTunes exclusive downloadable podcast, there was a May 1, 2007 episode that featured an excerpt of Mike Nelson and Kevin Murphy being interviewed by the Free Beer and Hot Wings Radio Show! During the episode, Mike remarked to the interviewers that his wife, Bridget, was creeped out so much by Manos: The Hands of Fate, that she couldn't even watch it to this very day.

Bridget has since become a recurring contributor to the RiffTrax Presents catalog, riffing a series of shorts and feature films with Mary Jo Pehl under the banner of "Bridget & Mary Jo".

Quotes[]

  • "When I started on the show, Mike and I were newly married. I was writing scripts at home, so Mike would come home and the movie was still on the VCR, and he’d be like, “Oh, God—please!”"
  • "We didn’t have the Internet when we started, so our references were from our own brains. There was no looking stuff up."
