Al Connors was the titular Guy from Harlem. He was played by Loye Hawkins.
Having re-located to Miami, Al operated a private detective agency that served a wide variety of clients and their needs. Al used his charm, street-smarts, and skill with the ladies to his advantage.
Al had a loyal secretary named Sue and a semi-regular girlfriend named Jo Ann. Al enjoyed J&B scotch and New York strip steak, which he preferred cooked well-done. By all accounts, Al was a bad dude.
An animated version of Al Connors appears in the opening credits sequence for RiffTrax produced by animator Harry Partridge.
